Kildare girls booked their place in the Electric Ireland Minor 'B' All-Ireland final with a convincing 5-11 to 1-8 win over Kerry on Saturday.

Louise Murphy opened for Kildare before Kerry responded with Tara Burke point. Anna Coburn edged The Lilies back in front and Louise Murphy extended the lead with two frees and a 45.
Kerry replied through Sara O'Connor.

Orlaith McNeill, Murphy and Hannah Finnerty took the difference to seven with six minutes of the opening half remaining.
And when that half time whistle arrived it was Kildare who had a comfortable seven points advantage.

Kerry reduced the gap with an early point from Ruth O'Connor. Kildare found the Kerry net soon after an initial effort was cleared the sliother fell to Orlaith McNeill. And within a minute the tie was all but wrapped up with goal number two arriving from Hannah Enright.

There was no stopping Kildare now and two more goals from Coburn inside a couple of minutes ensured Kildare were now firmly on their way to the All-Ireland decider.

Kerry raised two white flags but there was no stopping Kildare and a further goal saw Kate Maunsell, breaching Tiarna Kinahan’s goal as Kildare can now look forward to the decider on a scoreline of Kildare 5-11 to 1-8.

Kildare manager Rob O'Neilll was needless to say delighted with the result stating that “we asked the girls to work on two objectives, one was to reach and win a Leinster final, and the other was to reach and do our very best in an All Ireland final, so we’re going to enjoy this week and please god this time next Sunday we’ll have something to bring home to Kildare.”
