Rapper Boosie Badazz was busy filming 'Clutchin' music video along with Dee Rogers in Alabama when shots were apparently fired, leaving one individual in a critical condition on Saturday, May 29. The two reportedly left the scene unharmed. DJ Akademiks had shared a video on his official Twitter account where we could see the rapper surrounded by a bunch of guys shooting for his new music video for ‘Clutchin’. The video abruptly cuts off after the sound of bullets disrupts the filming.

Along with the video, DJ Akademiks had tweeted, “BREAKING: Allegedly a shootout occurred today when #boosie when shooting a music video with a new artist in Huntsville, Alabama. Reportedly one person is dead. Boosie was unharmed.” TMZ also reported the incident revealing that police interrogated several witnesses, since there were around 100 people outside when the incident happened. However, after a few hours of the incident, Boosie took to his Twitter account and said, “AINT NOBODY TRY TO KILL ME N HUNTSVILLE AL. YALL MFS BE HAPPY TO SPREAD LIES ON ME #LOL”. Boosie has also made headlines in the last few years due to his several legal issues.

Early life

Boosie Badazz's real name is Torrence Ivy Hatch and he was born on November 14, 1982, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His mother was a school nurse while his father was a pastor. He earlier went with the moniker of Lil Boosie and it was his cousin Young Dee who introduced him to Baton Rouge rapper C-Loc in the late 1990s’. The Louisiana native later joined the group Concentration Camp as he got mentored by Young Bleed and C-Loc as well as MD. Boosie eventually debuted on C-Loc's fifth album, 'It's A Gamble' in 2000 and Concentration Camp’s third studio effort called ‘Camp III: Thug Brothas’ in the same year.
