Is RPI a nerdy school? ›

In the United Kingdom, the Retail Prices Index or Retail Price Index (RPI) is a measure of inflation published monthly by the Office for National Statistics. It measures the change in the cost of a representative sample of retail goods and services.

Rensselaer policy prohibits any student from possessing an open container of alcohol in any public space, even if the student is 21 or older. Drinking games promote the abuse of alcohol and are therefore prohibited on campus, regardless of age.

Is Rensselaer hard to get into? ›

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute admissions has an acceptance rate of 65% and an early acceptance rate of 77%. Half the applicants admitted to RPI who submitted test scores have an SAT score between 1360 and 1520 or an ACT score of 30 and 34.

RPI is a great school. There are many opportunities to get involved and once you get involved, you'll have a great time. Last year (my freshman year) was the best year of my life!

Overall I think RPI offers a good variety of majors and education. However, they lack in support of student mental health considering this is a very rigorous institution. Rensselaer is definitely a rigorous education that prepares students for the professional world.
