Oh no, his cows will have to drink cheaper beer and switch to peanuts from macadamias. I hope there's a GoFundMe.

He said in 2018 he tried to teach employees about work-life harmony because balance implies strict trade off. That when he's happy at work he goes home more energized to be a better husband and dad. That's the same year his life harmony with Lauren Sanchez, while still married to MacKenzie, started trickling into the public.

Jeff Bezos says work-life balance is a 'debilitating phrase,' and that work and life are actually a circle msn.com

They're going to stay relevant because the U.S. taxpayer money will support them given it's a national security issue. It's going to take a long time for the U.S. chip industry to be independent. That's just reality. It may take as long as it takes for China's chip industry to catch up or longer. How well things are executed in the next decade after the U.S. pouring like over $50 billion so far via CHIPS Act into companies will tell you a lot about where to invest long term.

Intel used to dominate the U.S. chip industry. Now it's struggling to stay relevant cnbc.com

HashiCorp will probably go through a lot of changes. I think they're a remote friendly company which IBM is not so expect changes to that and layoffs that come with all acquisitions. HashiCorp has a business based on Open Source, just like Red Hat which IBM bought for $34 billion. IBM overpaid and will likely kill Open Source to make it profitable. Last year, IBM started restricting Red Hat access to Red Hat source code to paying customers only. You don't make as much money giving away stuff for free and for profit corporations are into profit.

The IBM-HashiCorp coupling could be more complicated than it seems | TechCrunch https://techcrunch.com

So in March, a Louisiana man had stopped for coffee and did some praying after a fire alarm made him rush out his apartment. That young man saw him and thought he was homeless so he offered him a dollar because he always wanted to help someone, but didn't have money. Turns out the man is a multimillionaire reality TV star and entrepreneur. The millionaire bought him breakfast and his dad a coffee. The interview is funny. He gave the kid a 40 second shopping spree in his outdoor store where chose a $2k bike along with other things. There's certainly a lot of multi millionaires who like to show off designer names and cover themselves with LV patterns, and it may be different in different cities like L.A. vs Silicon Valley, but there's a lot of very wealthy people who I would've never guessed just off how they dress or what they drive. If you live in a metropolitan area, you've probably passed by some ridiculously wealthy people without knowing it. I'm talking nine figure, possibly more, net worth. Some wealthy people can blend in with the normies. The wealthiest people who I've briefly talked to by chance, I would've never guessed. Clothes without obvious logos like a woman in a red turtleneck and tights with multiple successful tech exits, woman in just a simple nice pantsuit headed to her private jet for her next business meeting in another state, man in a solid color t-shirt and shorts who could have afforded to own multiple major sports teams. And they were friendly to interact with, but probably ruthless in business to build that much wealth. Probably have their internet presence scrubbed so you never hear about either.People post photos of themselves taking selfies with Jensen Huang in different countries or photos of him just walking around night markets or eating street food. There's a video of him rolling up on a couple of Taiwanese singers streaming at Wirforce and asking them to sing a Lady Gaga song that he started singing along with.

This article left some stuff out. This recruiter owns an executive search firm which obviously focuses on executives. I thought it would be like tech and finance companies from the test descriptions, but after visiting their page they're a Christian Executive Search Firm focused on Christian churches, schools, non profits, family offices, and "values based businesses." Like what? I must underestimate how many churches and schools have to deal with SEV1 incidents or trade futures on the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index. His people will text people at 10 pm to see how fast candidates reply to see if they fit in a move fast culture. Also sometimes last minute change of interview locations to see how they respond.

This recruiter uses a late-night text message to see if candidates are a good fit for a job msn.com

One major issue with Intel is their Foundry business is losing staggering amounts. $7 billion operating loss last year. It says $2.5 billion loss during the quarter. This is a major focus for them, they want to manufacture chips for other companies and take business from Taiwan Semiconductor and Samsung. They don't expect it to break even until 2027 at the earliest. That would require them executing well from now until then, but if they were doing that they probably wouldn't have lost Apple as a customer when they did and wouldn't have fallen behind. They fumbled on 10 nm and 7 nm.

Stores with high theft. If they remove it ones near me, I might stop shopping there. There used to be this one cashier at the a neighborhood grocery store, that I haven't seen in a long time, who was notoriously slow and so hard to deal with. Once, even though her lane was open all of us stayed in the self checkout line. I'll swear on everything if I had a cart full of stuff and she was the only way to checkout I'd abandon the cart. If you shopped at the store and experienced it with her once, you knew better. I once went on a Friday night and, since alcohol wasn't allowed at self checkout, her lane was so long and full of frustrated people who looked like they needed a drink.

Walmart begins nixing self-checkouts and returning to ‘traditional’ lanes – here’s why bizpacreview.com
